The Best Teether for Babies

It goes without saying that a good teether is a total necessity during your little one's early years. Having been through teething twice already, I've certainly experienced my fair share of teethers and obviously formed opinions on what works the best. Nowadays, teethers come in all shapes and sizes and if you're a first-time mama, it can be a little intimidating knowing exactly what to look for.

This adorable little teether by Matchstick Monkey comprises all of the qualities I've found work the best over the years. The arms, legs, and tail are skinny enough in diameter for little fingers to grasp onto and little mouths to bite on. You can tell Charlie's favorite thing to do right now is grasping his monkey with all his might! In the past, we've purchased flat teethers shaped liked ice cream cones and even necklaces with colorful chew beads - both cute as a button but challenging for our babies to get their mouths around.

The small bumps on the back of the Matchstick Monkey teether give baby a subtle introduction to a toothbrush and the ridges along the arms provide added texture for their mouths and hands. These small additions really go a long way for your baby. The teether is also very flexible and its overall design makes it easy to attach pacifier clips to too.

Until Charlie's teething phase begins (let's hope that's far off from now), I'm sure he'll be holding onto his little dancing monkey wherever we go.

The Matchstick Monkey brand has two lines of the teethers, the Original Matchstick Monkey and the Dancing Monkey (which is what we have above). They are both available on Amazon now and come in several different colors too.
